[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Divčibare” font_size=”36″ font_family=”” font_weight=”400″][vc_column_text]Divcibare is a famous mountain tourist place – plateau, which is located in the central part of the mountain Maljen. Maljen is characterized by a characteristic relief, which conditions favorable climatic characteristics and a diverse and specific flora and fauna on this mountain. There are well-preserved forests on Maljen and this mountain is the northernmost habitat of pine forests in Serbia.
The favorable geographical position has contributed to the gravity of many city residents towards Divčibare, because they are the closest mountain tourist place to Belgrade and Vojvodina. Residential, health-recreational, sports-recreational, excursion tourism, and to a lesser extent hunting and fishing, have been developed in Divčibare.
Divčibare lies at an altitude of 980 m. They are surrounded on all sides by heights that protect them from the winds, alleviate the climate, and at the same time represent places with an extraordinary view of the immediate surroundings, but also of some more remote parts of Serbia and even Republika Srpska.
The good geographical position conditions the arrival of air masses from the Adriatic Sea and the conflict with the air masses from the Carpathians and the Pannonian Plain, which explains the presence of iodine in the air. Spring and summer are short, winters are cold and long with abundant snowfall, and autumns are long and mild.[/vc_column_text][vc_tabs][vc_tab title=”Hiking trails” tab_id=”1575200087-1-17″][vc_column_text]In order for the visitors of the Maljen and Divčibare mountains to get to know these two gems of the Valjevo mountains as well as possible, the Valjevo Tourist Organization, in cooperation with the Valjevo mountaineers, has prepared hiking trails. They are traced in selected directions towards the most interesting peaks of Maljen, and are marked with markings – red circles with a white center () which are located on trees, poles, stone, etc. along the entire path (when you are at one marking, you always see the next one, and often the next two).

GOLUBAC
From the center, the path near the church turns right, next to the Maljen hotel. It continues along the road next to the EPS resort, and then through the forest behind which it leaves the road and goes to the meadows, between the cottages. It climbs slightly or goes straight all the time, so it is very light. When the cottages pass, you come across scattered, large pine trees. There is a signpost on one of them: left for Paljba, and half right for Golubac. From there, they broke out into a clearing from which Golubac can be seen all the time. With a slight ascent you reach this very quickly, 1056 m.n.v. high peak on which there is a characteristic tower – an observation post made of trees.
From Golubac, the view extends in all directions. To the west you can see the Valjevo mountains: Povlen, Magleš, Jablanik and Medvednik, and to the north in the distance Cer. To the west, below Golubac, is a wooded, deep valley of the Bukovska river.
On the contrary, on the east and south side there is a view of the highest Maljenski vrh Kraljev sto, Velika pleć, Crni vrh and Paljba and the entire Divčibare plateau, with meadows and woods from which the roofs of resorts and hotels spring. Therefore, this trail is recommended as the first to be hiked, because it will provide an excellent insight into the geographical position of Divčibare and other hiking trails.

FIRE
This direction behind the church turns left and goes along an already well-established path bordered by trees. To the left is the Žujan stream. After a few hundred meters, it turns slightly to the right (west), and then crosses the stream. Around Žujan is spilled in spacious peat bogs.
Further, the trail leads slightly uphill, first through a pine forest, and later through a meadow, next to the weekend houses, all the way to the exit to the asphalt road Divčibare – Kaona. It should go to the right, about 50m, and then the trail leads through rare pine trees on the left side of the road. Somewhat later, you should cross to the right side, and after that you can reach the top of Paljba, 1051 m above sea level, through the young pine forest. From it, on one side, you can see the peaks of Maljen: Golubac, Stražara, Kraljev sto and Crni vrh, and between them the entire Divčibare plateau. On the other side you can see the Valjevo mountains: Povlen, Magleš, Jablanik and Medvednik.
Slightly lower than the top, across the road there is a beautiful lookout with parking. From it, deep in the valley, you can see the villages of Skakavci and Rosići, Ražana and Kosjerić. On clear days, several lines of mountain ranges of southern and western Serbia can be seen in the distance. It is nice to be on this lookout when the sun sets in purple behind Povlen and Medvednik. It is even more beautiful in the morning, when the fog and clouds make the valley a white sea from when, like islands, Subjel and Kozomor spring up, and the sides of the valley look like sea shores.

LJUTI KRŠ
The initial part of this trail is an asphalt road towards Mionica and Belgrade. When you pass the Breza camp, turn left onto a macadam road marked with a red sign LJUTI KRŠ. The trail leads this way, through the woods, between the cottages. After the last weekend, the trail leaves the road and turns right, and then winds through the forest. After crossing the stream, you go through the forest with clearings to the trees with signposts: on the right GUARD and on the left LJUTI KRŠ. It continues in the left direction, through the forest. This is the beginning of the strict nature reserve of the 2nd category BLACK RIVER. The trail then emerges on a rocky ridge, which ascends to a lookout point at the top – 962 m.n.v.
The view from it is very impressive: to the left, over the deep valley of the stream towards Golubac and to the right, over the beginning of the Black River to Bačevački vis, Čubrica and Pejar. Right is a beautiful view down the canyon of the wondrous Black River that meanders between sides overgrown with dense evergreen forest dotted with birches. In the foreground is a lower ridge from which you can descend to the Black River. The mountains of Valjevo can be seen on the horizon: Magleš, Jablanik and Medvednik, and a little closer the slopes of Bukovo. Due to this view and the untouched nature of the reserve through which it passes, this is, according to many, the most beautiful hiking trail on Maljen. Only when it is visited does one get a real impression of the beauty of nature on Maljen.

BIG SHOULDER
At the beginning, this trail goes on an asphalt road (in the direction of the main ski trail), from where you should turn left at the Pancevo resort (the first large building on the left). We continue uphill, also along the asphalt road that passes under the IMT resort (old name). Behind it you come to a crossroads where you should turn right. The road leads slightly uphill between the cottages and exits to the plateau. There is a tree with two red signposts: on the left BIG SHOULDER, on the right BLACK TOP. From there, go left, along a macadam road that climbs slightly, and leads through a forest of fir, pine and birch. At the pass, at the signpost to the right for Crni vrh, you should continue further along the road that goes along the wavy ridge. On the left is a forest, and on the right a few cottages, after which a sh[/vc_column_text][/vc_tab][vc_tab title=”Ski trails” tab_id=”1575200087-2-61″][vc_column_text]
