Taor waterfall

The waterfalls of Taor are a natural monument located in the western part of Serbia, the massif of the Valjevo mountains, at the foot of the mountain Povlen. Taor springs erupt in the village of Donji Taor, where they flow into the river Skrapež, a tributary of the West Morava.

POSITION
Taorska vrela is located on the territory of the town of Valjevo in Donji Taor, not far from the road to Makovište. In this natural space, there used to be 12 mills, and now there are only a few left. At the foot of the limestone plateau, at the southeastern end of the syncline valley, on the north side bordered by a vertical cliff 5 m high, 3 m wide at the bottom, a spring erupts from the cave opening. Numerous waterfalls and cascades have been created over a relatively short distance over the deposited bigren deposits. The springs flow into the river Skrapež, whose source is below the mountain Povlen. The spring can be reached from Valjevo by a road that goes through Lelić and Mravinjac.

FEATURES
The area of ​​the Taor springs is recognizable by the spring cave at the foot of the limestone section, from where the main spring springs, and the wider spring zone with several small periodic springs. [2] Downstream from the main spring, the largest accumulation of bigra in this part of Serbia was deposited. It is intersected by many picturesque cascades and waterfalls, with the remains of former mills, which end in a waterfall at the confluence of the Vrelski stream and Skrapež, about 4.5 m high.
