The Cathedral of the Resurrection of the Lord is the main and largest Orthodox church in Valjevo. It is the central church of the Valjevo diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church. At the same time, more than 2,000 believers can stand under the roof of the temple.

The temple is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, ie His Resurrection. This temple is located at the mouth of the river Gradac in Kolubara and is the second largest in Serbia, right after the temple of St. Sava.

The construction of the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Valjevo began in 1992. By the way, the temple in the Serbian-Byzantine style was designed by the architect Ljubica Bošnjak from Belgrade. Its length is 46, width 24, and height 47 meters. The ground floor of the temple has an area of 978 square meters, and the gallery 229 square meters.

By 2010, the church had received its final appearance. The space around the temple with benches and a fountain has been arranged to a good extent, and works on the interior decoration are in progress.
